These are the top updates in the OS's first public preview. There is a lot to them.The new sleek design features a centered Taskbar and new animations.The new start menu includes pinned apps, a section that Microsoft recommends to you for files and software you might want to open.Redesigned Notification Center (shortcut : Win + N), and Quick Settings Menu, (Win + A), are now distinct.The File Explorer is a modern, simplified version of the Office-like Ribbon interface.For additional themes, see the new dark and light modes themes.Windows 11's new sounds change depending on whether you are in dark or light mode.Widgets are (Win + W), which currently include a calendar and weather, local traffic as well as your Microsoft To Do Lists, OneDrive photos, OneDrive photos, stocks (and esports), tips, and OneDrive photos. You can also access a news feed that includes content from different publications.Snap Layout and Snap Groups are two new features that allow you to arrange multiple windows or reopen work on a set of apps.New and improved virtual desktop functionality (Win + Tab).The docking functionality is improved so that your old layout is automatically restored when you connect to a dock and minimizes any apps when you unload.Multitasking is now possible with new gestures using the touchscreen at three- and four fingers.Laptops with dynamic refresh rate support it.The Control Panel may finally be replaced by a much better Setting Menu.The Office Insiders will also get a new look in conjunction with Windows 11.You can also see a preview of the new Microsoft Store.File Explorer looks great in modern OSes!This means that most visual changes, which are consumer-facing, are easily accessible. Notable omissions include Android app compatibility, and the new integration with Microsoft Teams.Windows Insiders who are on the Dev Channel can download the latest build. This channel is known for having the most buggy builds. If you don't know what you are doing, I wouldn't recommend installing it on your primary computer.
