John Langley, creator of "Cops", has passed away.Variety was informed by Langley's representatives that he died Saturday from an apparent heart attack. This happened while Langley was participating in an off-road race... and actually was on the track. His first project on-camera from 1983, "Cocaine Blues."Langley was a TV veteran who won the American Television Award as well as four Emmys for his work with "Cops". His wife Maggie and their three children are his survivors. He was 78.
