'No Evidence' Chance Meetings at the Office Boost Innovation

The New York Times reports that Zillow's chief people officer believes that the culture of always-in-the office at the real estate marketplace is contributing to problems such as long hours, lack of representation and burnout. According to the New York Times which noted Zillow, Ford and Salesforce are now reorganizing their offices to have fewer rows of desks, and more space for informal gatherings. Experts suggest a new way to think about the office. It should not be a headquarters that people visit daily or weekly but a place where people can go occasionally for group hangouts.
