Hilton Honors Double Rewards-Global Bonus Promotion September 8 - December 31, 2020

Hilton has today unintentionally released information about is next global bonus opportunity called "Double Rewards."

Honors members earn both double points and elite qualifying nights for stays between September 8 - December 31, 2020, after registering for this offer.

You can register for this offer on Hilton's website here (not yet activated).

Honors members earn double points for all stays with a checkout date between September 8 - December 31, 2020.

You earn double elite nights for nights consumed between September 8 - December 31, 2020, regardless of the checkout or check-in date.

Note that these bonus nights (2 nights for every 1 consumed) will roll over to 2021 and count towards milestone bonuses in 2020 (not in 2021).

It is unclear, however, if these bonus nights count towards the lifetime requirement. I have retested clarification from the Hilton, as their FAQs don't cover this issue.

Milestone Bonus:

You earn 10,000 bonus points for every 10 nights consumed starting at 40 (remember rollover nights don't count), including awards nights, + you get an additional bonus of 30,000 points (total of 40,000) at 60 nights.

All Nights in 2020 Rollover to 2021:

As all elite members have already been extended through March 2022, the nights that are consumed in 2020 are all rollover to 2021, counting towards the elite status earned next year (and counting towards March 2023 expiry).

The registration hasn't opened yet, but they have pushed the FAQs live. However, they mistakenly few times refer to the current Points Unlimited-promotion that was extended through September 8, 2020.

This bonus offer works for those that have expensive stays (double points) while it also rewards consumed nights through the Milestone Bonuses (that you now can earn twice as fast).

What is the promotion?

Registered Hilton Honors members will earn double Hilton Honors Bonus Points per stay during the Promotion Period as well as double night credits. Double Bonus Points means you will receive a bonus equal to the number of Base Points earned during a stay. Double night credit means one additional, tier qualifying night credit will be awarded for each night stayed in the promo period.

What is the Promotion Period for the "Double Rewards" Hilton Honors promotion?

September 8, 2020 through December 31, 2020 ('Promotion Period')

How will the Bonus Points be awarded?

Registered Hilton Honors members checking in before September 8, 2020 will receive double Hilton Honors Bonus Points for their stay if the stay is completed on or after September 8, 2020 and prior to or on December 31, 2020.

Registered Hilton Honors members will receive double night credit for all nights completed in the promotion period, regardless of a check-in date before the Promotion Period begins or a check-out date after the Promotion Period ends. Double nights will count towards Hilton Honors members' 2020 night count and will be eligible for rollover night credit.

Example A: A Hilton Honors member completes one stay at a Hampton. The stay is two nights long and the member spends $100 per night. The member will earn a total of 4,000 Hilton Honors Points with this promotion on his or her stay. The member will also earn an additional two tier qualifying night credits - bringing the total nights earned on the stay to four.

Base Points Earned (Points you receive during your stay for being a Hilton Honors Member): 10 Points per USD X $100 X 2 Nights = 2,000 Base Points

Promotion Points Earned (Points you receive during your stay for participating in this promotion): 10 Points per USD X $100 X 2 Nights = 2,000 Bonus Points

Example B: A Hilton Honors member checks in on December 30, 2020 but checks out on Jan 2, 2021. Since the stay was completed after December 31, 2020 the member will not receive double Hilton Honors Bonus Points. However, the member will receive two additional tier qualifying night credits for the two nights completed in the promotion period.

Will the double night credit count towards Milestone Bonuses or rollover nights?

Yes - the double night credit will count towards Milestone Bonuses, fast tracks, and rollover nights.

What is an eligible stay?

A stay is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, whether or not a guest checks out and checks back in again. For additional details, visit the Hilton Honors Terms & Conditions.

Are all rates included in this promotion?

No. A list of ineligible rates can be found under the Hilton Honors Terms and Conditions: Accrual of Points number 3.

Do I have to register for this promotion?

Yes. Hilton Honors members must register for the promotion at HiltonHonors.com/doublerewards.

I am not a Hilton Honors member; can I participate in this promotion?

Only members can participate. You can join the Hilton Honors program for free, register for the promotion and immediately be eligible to participate. Simply visit Hilton Honors Terms & Conditions and follow the steps to join Hilton Honors and register for the promotion simultaneously.

Which Hilton Honors brands are participating in the promotion?

All Hilton brands are participating in the promotion.

If I already have a reservation, is it eligible for the promotion?

Yes, as long as the member is registered for the promotion prior to check-out of the stay and the reservation is for an eligible stay. Regardless of when a reservation was booked, any registered guests with nights within the Promotion Period will receive the promotion bonus.

If I check-in before September 8, 2020, or check-out after December 31, 2020, do I still earn credit for that stay?

Registered Hilton Honors members checking in before September 8, 2020 will receive double Hilton Honors Bonus Points for their stay if the stay is completed on or after September 8, 2020 and prior to or on December 31, 2020.

Registered Hilton Honors members will receive double night credit for all nights completed in the promotion period, regardless of a check-in date before the Promotion Period begins or a check-out date after the Promotion Period ends.

Will I receive Bonus Points or double night credit with the "Double Rewards" promotion for any stays within the Promotion Period that I completed PRIOR to registering for the promotion?

No. Only members registered prior to check-out will receive Bonus Points with the "Double Rewards" promotion for stays within the promotion period.

When will the Bonus Points post to my Hilton Honors account?

Please allow 6-8 weeks from the completion of your stay for the Bonus Points to appear in your Hilton Honors account.

Does my incremental spend on things like room service count towards my Bonus Points?

Additional spend on room service or other services charged to the room will count towards earning Bonus Points.

Will I earn Bonus Points for Reward Stays with the "Points Unlimited" promotion?

Yes - members are eligible to earn Hilton Honors Bonus Points on paid portions of reward stays with the "Double Rewards" promotion, including incidental charges.

If I have two room reservations at the same time, do both of those rooms count toward my promotion bonus if I am paying for them both?

Bonus Points and double night credit will be awarded on one room only. However, a Member may earn Base Points for up to four rooms per stay, if all eligible charges for both rooms are paid on one folio.

Can I register for other promotions if I register for this promotion?

Yes, unless stated otherwise in the Terms and Conditions of other select promotions, a member can register for multiple promotions.
