Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants continues its international expansion with the announcement of its first hotel in Malaysia. The Kimpton Kuala Lumpur will be located at The Exchange TRX, a new experience-led lifestyle destination in the heart of the central business district. IHG has signed a management agreement with LQ Retail Sdn Bhd to open Malaysia's first Kimpton hotel. The hotel will be located with an experience-led lifestyle destination called The Exchange TRX. The Exchange TRX is a 17-acre integrated development with the goal of being one of Asia's leading lifestyle hubs.

It will open in phases from 2021 to 2025 as construction continues around the complex. The Kimpton Kuala Lumpur will be one of the middle phases with its scheduled opening in 2023.
The Kimpton hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will be a 471-room in the heart of The Exchange TRX. Guests will enjoy dining at three different food and beverage outlets. These dining options include a rooftop bar & restaurant and a cafe offering both deli and groceries. The rooftop deck also features an outdoor swimming pool.
It's always exciting when a new Kimpton location is announced. I haven't been to Kuala Lumpur yet, so the grand opening of the Kimpton Kuala Lumpur might be a great reason for my first visit. The Exchange TRX sounds like an incredible entertainment and shopping mecca and I couldn't think of a better hotel brand to be in the middle of it all than Kimpton.
