House H

From the natural vegetation to the planted gardens and green roof, House H maintains a strong connection to nature. The modern home is situated above a large, wooded ravine overlooking views of Mexico City in the distance. Its mostly comprised of clean lines and geometric forms, creating a minimalist contrast to the verdant surroundings. The interior layout is derived from the views. The upper level living spaces are directed to the ease, taking advantage of the forest and the morning sun. Its light, airy atmosphere is the result of a monochromatic palette of white plaster walls and warm wood tones from the floor and ceiling as well as a backlit bookcase in the living room. Large panels of glazing bring in the exterior's three planted patios and the surrounding landscape, adding a tranquil touch to the internal living spaces.
