Wyndham is betting there's a demographic hungry for timeshares: millennials.

Plus, Hollywood's iconic Chateau Marmont reportedly will become a private club.

Those are a couple of today's travel posts I thought you, too, may find interesting.

The timeshare crowd may see some new company.

Some retirees might find themselves rubbing elbows with people who can fix their mobile devices. Hungover Vegas tourists lured to timeshare pitches (with the promise of free show tickets) and who got too caught up in the "no money down!" spiel might soon party with a younger group.

Skift reports that if Wyndham has its way, millennials will become timeshare owners. They think millennials will be more geared toward downtown-y destinations, though. So your parents' timeshare in Hawaii is (probably) safe. 😉

At first, the idea seemed a little "huh?" to me. But it began making sense the more I thought it about it. Many millennials I know love Airbnb-style accommodations. They eschew hotels (too corporate, you know. Nevermind Airbnb is a major corporation. But that's another topic.) and instead prefer rental homes.
