Previously I've written about the merger between two gaming companies, Caesars Entertainment (CZR) and Eldorado Resorts (ERI). As of July 20, 2020, that merger has been successfully completed meaning that there are now 55 destinations worldwide in the portfolio.
With that merger being finalized this has presented more status matching opportunities for those holding Caesars Diamond status to the various properties that were already in the Eldorado portfolio.
I wouldn't be surprised if most of the Point Me to the Plane readers do not know Eldorado Resorts as they were largely obscure gaming company until their acquisition of Tropicana Entertainment in October 2018. Honestly, prior to this merger I have only personally visited one Eldorado Resorts property, the Isle Casino located in Bettendorf, IA and that was for a car convention, not for gaming. Therefore, my knowledge of their various loyalty programs isn't highly extensive. However, for just a few moments of my time, like when I match over my Wyndham Diamond Status every year, I can lock up additional benefits should I visit a property before December 2021.
In order to complete the status match you will need two things:
If you have both of those things head over to the Caesars Rewards webpage. From that page, there are four different programs to link your accounts to in the United States.
For our friends overseas if you log into your player account, under Rewards Match & Exchanges you can see the a 5th option which will allow you to match to Caesars Rewards UK. For some reason this program doesn't appear on the general website.
Then select the program that you want to match to along with the destination that you most frequent. Enter your loyalty account number and click "Request Matching Status"
From here just wait and you should get an email that shows that your Caesars Rewards account and the Eldorado loyalty program you selected are linked. Complete for each different program that you wish to match to.
With the ongoing pandemic continuing I haven't ventured into a casino since February so as of right now any sort of status match is done in the hopes that I will be able to use it in the future. However, from past experience I know the potential upside that holding a variety of statuses can unlock and having additional statuses could give additional stops along the status matching train. Therefore, even if you aren't planning on a visit currently I'd still status match as they will be good till December 2021.
