Editor's Notes: Vans teams up with outdoor utility tools manufacturer VSSL for a new multi-sneaker Vault by Vans collaboration. Born out of the spirit of getting outside, the joint effort features three classic Vans sneakers paired with custom, matching custom VSSL Outdoor Survival and First Aid Kits.

Headlining the collection is the Sk8-Hi MTE LX. The cold weather-ready Sk8-Hi is designed to keep you warm and dry thanks to its water-repellent leather and suede upper. Each pair of the Sk8-Hi's is accompanied by VSSL's MTE Camp Supplies Survival Kit that matches the shoe.

The Old Skool VLT LX and Era VLT LX join the Sk8-Hi in the VSSL x Vault by Vans capsule, as they are outfitted with Italian leather uppers and vulcanized soles. These two models are paired with custom VSSL Skate and Surf First Aid Kits.

The VSSL Kits are made from seamless extruded military-specification anodized aluminum. They include a 200 lumen, multi-mode LED flashlight and an oil filled compass, in addition to other supplies that you will likely need for your outdoor adventures. Specifically, the MTE Camp Supplies VSSL comes with more than 70 adventure essentials, ranging from a Canadian beeswax candle, to a fire-starting kit and a mini first aid kit. The Skate and Surf VSSL kits include curated first aid components.

VSSL and Vans' collaborative sneaker/survival kit collection launches November 1 at select Vault by Vans retailers.
