Later this year, Nintendo Switch users will be able play AVICII Invector, a rhythm game inspired by the late EDM star who tragically committed suicide last year. An initial version of the game released for the PS4 while Avicii (Tim Bergling) was still alive.

The updated AVICII Invector game is described as "a fast-paced rhythm experience which fuses Avicii's trademark brand of uplifting EDM music coupled with serene visualscapes." The game allows players to play custom level-designed tracks, explore six different in-game worlds and follow an immersive storyline with the help of voice acting.

AVICII Invector's creators (Wired Productions and Hello There Games) teamed up with Bergling's family to release the game's new version. To celebrate the artist's life, portions of the royalties earned from the game will go straight to The Tim Bergling Foundation, an organization created by Bergling's family to advocate against stigmas surrounding the discussion of suicide.

The game will officially release for the Switch, Xbox One and PC, and it will also see a re-release for the PS4 with new content. An official release date hasn't been confirmed yet, but it is stated that AVICII Invector will release both digitally and physically across all mentioned platforms.

Elsewhere in gaming, a 'Fortnite Chapter 2' trailer has surfaced online.
