Of course, the two dated IRL and the day Blake Lively and Penn Badgley broke up was the day I stopped believing in love.
In a recent trip down memory lane, in true Dan Humphrey fashion, Penn revealed to his GG co-star, Chace Crawford - in an interview for Variety's "Actors on Actors" series - that Blake, much like her onscreen character, gifted him with an expensive present that he didn't want.
Back in Season 1, Serena tried to gift Dan a $20,000 watch, which he didn't accept because it was, you know, 20 racks.
Well, apparenly during that very season, Blake bought Penn an iPhone - the iPhone 1, before they were even cool!
But Penn's reaction to getting it can only be described as peak Dan Humphrey:

Less sweet...but also, understandable for him.
I remember back in '07, all I wanted was an iPhone. But alas, maybe Penn was good with just a regular ol' flip phone?
