Some number of months after Microsoft first revealed the design for the upcoming Xbox Series X, Sony's provided our first glimpse of the Playstation 5. A far cry from the Xbox's darkened rectangle, the PS5 sports a stark, futurist design with white sides and a black center, much like the previously-revealed DualSense controller. Able to stand vertically or lay horizontally, it's powered by an eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU and a custom AMD RDNA 2-based GPU. The chips will provide up to 10.28 teraflops of power, while a proprietary SSD offers 825GB of storage and 5.5GB/s of performance for fast loading times. It will support 8K graphics, 4K graphics at a 120Hz refresh rate, and 3D audio, and will be available both with and without an Ultra 4K Blu-Ray drive. Arriving this holiday season.
