I absolutely love going on trains in Japan. It's probably my absolute favorite form of travel in the world... like even better than first class on some middle eastern airlines. The things you see out the window are so interesting and ready for photography. Plus, every 15 minutes a lady comes by to give you snacks and Asahi. You can sit there in comfort, listen to music, have a drink, and just stare out the window, taking photos whenever you feel like it.
