Hilton Honors launched back in March a points sale at a 100% bonus that ends on Wednesday (May 27, 2020).

Members can usually buy up to 80,000 points every calendar year before any bonus, although the limit is doubled to select if not all members (check the purchase page).

The award availability is plenty right now, as many cannot or are unable to (understandably) commit to reservations in late 2020 or early 2021.

The best use of Hilton Honors points is when the paid rates are through the roof, such as the Waldorf Astoria Maldives (effectively $600 per night) or at some of those 5,000/10,000 points or lower cat properties that have high paid rates.
