After just releasing its All Star Jogger Hi recently, Converse Japan has returned, this time with a new, eco-friendly iteration of its Chuck Taylor silhouette: The All Star "Musenshoku."

Constructed with a series of environmentally progressive textiles, the sneaker marks the second shoe from Converse Japan's "eclab" series - its eco-conscious line. This particular model boasts cream-colored organic undyed canvas uppers, made with cotton stems and leaves that give it a unique texture. Limiting the number of washes required for the production of the sneaker, the amount of water used managed to be cut down to approximately 7.08 liters per meter of fabric. The shoe also comes with a soft Ortholite Eco insole and an outsole that has been made from recycled rubber. Finishing details like silver-toned metal eyelets, Converse's iconic All Star logo at the sides and its monochromatic foxing give the shoe a vintage look and feel.

The Converse Japan Chuck Taylor All Star "Musenshoku" is currently available at converse.co.jp for $91 USD.

Elsewhere, adidas Originals has released its Ozweego Tech with glossy neoprene uppers.
