The 2018-19 NBA season was one of the first in recent memory that didn't feel predetermined. Yes, the Golden State Warriors still played for a title, but the NBA finals didn't feature LeBron James for a change, and the final result qualified as at least something of a surprise.

This season, though, should put all that to shame.

A whole slew of stars changed teams in the off-season: Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, Al Horford, Mike Conley Jr., Kemba Walker, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. (Whew.) Suddenly, the league landscape looks radically different, and a bunch of teams have reason to think, "Why not us?" Oddsmakers aren't even in agreement on the favorite for this year, whether that's the Lakers or the Clippers.
