Greater than 30 million cookies from DoubleTree hotel and resort properties are consumed every year, as they are offered - usually hot and fresh - as a welcome gift to guests when they check in for their stays upon arrival at the front desk...
...but as occupancy at hotel and resort properties have been reduced dramatically during the current 2019 Novel Coronavirus pandemic, substantially fewer people will be able to enjoy the signature cookies.
If you are one of those people who miss enjoying these cookies, you are in luck, as Hilton - which is the parent lodging company of the DoubleTree brand - released the official version of the cookie recipe so that you can bake these cookies anytime you like to enjoy them.
You can bake 26 cookies from this recipe - and here it is:
You can use this video to assist you in ensuring you bake the cookies properly.
You can freeze the unbaked cookies; and there is no need to thaw them prior to baking. Simply preheat your oven to 300° Fahrenheit and place the frozen cookies approximately two inches apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the cookies until their edges are golden brown and the centers of the cookies are still soft.
Although I will reluctantly eat a DoubleTree signature cookie, I do not prefer them because they contain nuts - and you might think I am nuts for not liking nuts. They do taste good, though - especially when warm...
...but now I know that if I want one, I can now have one anytime I want - and without the nuts.
Thank you, Hilton.
