Malaysia Airlines ground staff, reported via aviation blogger Andrew Leong, have indicated that a tow truck has crashed into a Boeing 737-800 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, causing serious damage to the aircraft's underbelly and engine.

No injuries have been reported. The aircraft, registered 9M-MLL, was being towed from a remote stand at Kuala Lumpur to a hangar when the incident occurred.

According to a Tweet from Andrew Leong, a pin on the tow tractor snapped and the tow bar gave way, causing the tug to crash into the aircraft. No injuries were reported.
