He first broke out thanks to falling on the ears of Tyler, The Creator, who would then feature Rex heavily on his 2017 album . Now Rex has amassed a short, albeit carefully curated catalogue that's earned him a cult fanbase the world over. Today he showcased some of his favorite records in an intimate NPR Tiny Desk Concert.

Rex was joined by bandmates Johnny Woodham: trumpet, Michael Underwood: flute, piano and saxophone, Jim Reed: drums, Joe Arksey: guitar and Darryl Dodoo: bass. The band kicked things off with his popular hit, "Loving Is Easy" followed by "Pluto Projector", "Always", and "Sunflower." Watch the full performance above.
