Rico Nasty continues to drop solid solo efforts alongside some standout features. She's already been a major highlight on a number of under-the-radar remixes that warrant more attention with Memphis rapper Jucee Froot's "Psycho" Remix and 100 gec's "Ringtone" Remix. Then there was her infectious falsetto mantra for 2020 in "IDGAF". Now Rico returns with a new surprise release in "Lightning" (not to be confused with Orion Sun's music video of the same name).

In "Lightning," Rico appears clad in all purple BAPE camouflage alongside a clean white Tesla Model X showcasing her lyrical dexterity. Flexes like, "I just spent two racks to get my hair did/ I ain't in a group, so I ain't about to share sh*t/ When I was growing up you know I was the weird kid/ But now I'm a Tesla driver, so I ain't gotta steer it," showcase just how much she's in her own lane. The beat was produced by duo KC Supreme and Internet Money's Nick Mira. Whether her past few releases (including the undeniable "Hard") are building toward her confirmed upcoming project Nightmare Vacation or just a stream of loosies remains to be seen. Her last major release was April 2019's Anger Management with longtime collaborator Kenny Beats.
