Universal Pictures is making its current theatrical releases available for home rental, Deadline reports. The option will apparently start as early as this Friday, March 20, and is an unprecedented movie made in response to safety concerns regarding the current coronavirus pandemic.

The film options include Blumhouse's The Invisible Man and The Hunt, and Focus Features' Emma, all of which will be available for a 48-hour rental period at a suggested price of $19.99 per picture.

Universal and DreamWorks Animation's Trolls World Tour is slated for an April 10 US release date and will now premiere on the big screen and via the new at-home service. The film will land worldwide on April 20.

In a statement made earlier today, the studio wrote, "NBCUniversal will continue to evaluate the environment as conditions evolve and will determine the best distribution strategy in each market when the current unique situation changes."
