Early on Monday morning, Mercury enters dreamy Pisces again, and your thoughts and communication style might become less rational and more emotional, less intellectual and more intuitive. On Thursday, the spring equinox arrives, marking the beginning of a new astrological year and the sun's entrance into bold and assertive Aries. While the sun is in Aries, you can be direct and courageous in the pursuit of your true desires; you can be afraid of nothing at all. Finally, on Saturday night, disciplined Saturn enters rebellious and idealistic Aquarius, where it will remain until 2023. While Saturn is in Aquarius, you can be disciplined while still keeping a sense of idealism. You can believe in, and commit to, the wildest futures imaginable.
This week, ideas that had been entirely out of the question might suddenly seem possible after all. This week, the desires that you had been told were naïve or not credible might suddenly seem within reach. The field of possibility is changing rapidly, and your job right now is to stop limiting your plans to what would have worked yesterday, or what other people would have allowed. Your job right now is not to hold back, but to use your powers in their full and unadulterated form, to ask for the real thing, the whole shining world.
This week, you might feel your stubbornness activated in a way that surprises even you. You might feel an unexpected urge to stand up and say no, to throw a wrench in the works, to show the world that you're unwilling to be pushed around. Don't treat this stubbornness like a temporary flaw, or like fleeting impulse that's best to ignore. Treat it, instead, like a gift, like a calling, like a source of untapped power. When the world tries to mistreat you, or the people you love, you can stand up and say no.
You've always been good at connecting with other people, and seeing them clearly, and understanding them as fellow humans. Because of this, it can be particularly frustrating to see how many people insist on living as though they're alone in the world, each of them acting as though they alone possess a bustling inner life. This week, it's important not to give in, not to accept the lie that selfish isolation is the natural order of things. This week, the world around you still matters, and it still has magic to offer you, so don't give up on it.
This is a week for maintaining and building your relationships with other people. It's a week not to sink into isolation, not to retreat to your beautiful hazy dreams, but to hold fast to all the love in your life. There's sweetness in your connections to other people, and that sweetness on its own would be enough to make them worth fighting for, but there's more than that, too. Love doesn't only make you feel good - it makes you powerful; it makes you brave. It gives you the strength to keep going.
This is a week for striving to live in a way that you can be proud of - in a way that you can look back on later without shame, without regret, without wishing in hindsight that you'd acted with more courage or conviction. This doesn't mean you have to know precisely how to act - how to be perfectly loving and perfectly brave - but it means you have to show up. It means you have to bring your whole self to the world, ready to live and ready to fight.
This week, you might feel stymied in your attempts to offer care, in your attempts to make yourself useful. This week, your standard strategies might feel inadequate to the world you now find yourself in. But that doesn't mean you aren't needed. Your task, this week, is to avoid blaming yourself for not having more to offer right now, and instead to think creatively about how you can be useful in the circumstances that exist right now. Your mind is still sharp and your heart is still beating, and even in times like this, you can give your all.
It might be easy, in the coming days, to focus on everything that's been lost, everything that's so vastly, unimaginably worse than it should be. It might be easy to get lost in a feeling of aching lack. And while it isn't wrong to feel this way, this is a good week to remind yourself that things can still change. There's still light and magic waiting for you. People can support each other; people can still come together to make the world worth living in. Even when we seem to have nothing else, we still have each other.
Right now, you're allowed to let your fury guide you - you don't have to hide it or soften it. You're allowed to fully feel all your shimmering rage at this world that's so violent and uncaring. Things shouldn't be like this, and it's exhausting that they still are, no matter how hard you've railed against the injustices, no matter how tirelessly you've worked. But this isn't the time to throw up your hands, or renounce your values, or slouch away in defeat. Think of your rage as an indicator that you haven't given up yet, that you're still ready to fight.
This is a week for rejecting selfishness at every turn, for choosing not to turn away from others when they need you. This doesn't mean you have to be a hero, or that you should dramatically forego all your own needs. It just means that you'll be offered opportunities to commit to your values. You'll be offered the chance to really live like you value other people, like you believe in community, like you're unwilling to thrive where others cannot. This week, live like the world you want is possible. Live like you're moving closer to it, all the time.
One of the worst ways to feel is useless - small and stuck inside structures bigger than you, tossed and trampled by the forces of history. And so this week, if you do find yourself feeling useless, if it seems like nothing you do could make any difference at all, your task is to think more creatively about how you might live a meaningful life. Your task is to think unconventionally about how you might measure your usefulness. The results of your actions might not be as clear-cut as you'd prefer, but it's still possible to make a difference anyway.
This week, you may get the chance to step outside the rules of everyday life. You may get the chance to be free, at least for now, of the rules that normally bind you. You've learned specific survival skills, and those skills have shaped the ways you've been able to move through the world. But when the world changes suddenly, your own ways of moving can change, too. You can imagine a wilder, better reality, and wilder, better ways of existing in it. Change isn't only something that happens around you. It's something you do, too.
You might find yourself feeling as though the forces around you have all aligned to make you feel powerless - as though everything has been decided already, as though everyone's moves have already played out, as though there's nowhere left to go from here. This week, give yourself the gift of remembering how untrue that really is. Give yourself the gift of remembering how much can still change - for the worse, naturally, but for the better, too. Life might be chaotic, it might be dark, but one thing it isn't is over.
