While fans await Kanye West's much-anticipated (and much-delayed) ninth solo album, they've had one guarantee: they'll get to see the album's companion film, Jesus is King, by the end of October.

Before today, though, all we've had is a date-but fans officially have the chance to book their spot at an exclusive showing.

Advanced tickets for the film's first screening went on sale earlier today on AMC's website. As of now, there are only tickets available for a 7 p.m. showing on Oct. 24 at the Universal Cinema AMC in Universal City, Calif.

Last week, IMAX confirmed West's film would play between Oct. 24-31 in select cities. At the time, there were no further details. But the Universal Cinema tickets likely show that showtimes will be released intermittently between now and the film's Oct. 24 release date.

The Jesus is King movie has only been seen by a handful of lucky fans. West held listening parties in Detroit, Chicago and New York for his new album between Sept. 27-29.

As I write following my experience at one of those shows, the film is clearly inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey, mixing Stanley Kubrick's cinematic approach with documentary footage of West's Sunday Service choir. The movie fits nicely into West's lifelong obsession with movies.
