The D'Amelio family has helped their children translate their social media success into a business empire. In addition to brand deals and sponsorships, the famous family has been investing in startups through a new VC fund and plans to launch their own fashion, beauty and lifestyle businesses. The first of these new ventures is a women's footwear line which is currently on track for a May 2023 launch, according to an interview on a panel at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The panel, which took place at the Variety Entertainment Summit on Friday, revealed that much of the management of the D'Amelio family empire was done by Marc, as he answered most of the interviewer's questions about upcoming branded products and other D'Amelio family ventures. At one point, she said that she and Charli always went to her father for advice on deals and long-term friends.

The D'Amelio Brands initiative was launched with $6 million in seed funding, which included an investor and co- founder of Whip Media. Other investors include Apple, Lions Gate, and Michael Rubin. The D'Amelios are represented by the United Talent Agency.

The company will have its first meeting at the end of the month.

All the family's intellectual property will be owned by them when the new products are launched.

He said that they didn't try to change anything. Other people came out and owned their brands completely. The main focus of D'Amelio Brands is to find ideas, concepts, and products that we're passionate about and to start to create things that we own with our investors.

The D'Amelio brands will be launched in May of 2023. The family was already pretty far along in the design process with regards to the new brand initiative, according to Dixie.

What to expect from the business was only briefly discussed in the interview. The head designer of the new footwear brand will be from the family's hometown in Connecticut, and was previously a top designer at Jessica Simpson footwear. He said that he had been an independent rep in the fashion industry for a long time. Before his daughters became famous, he had a showroom in New York and his own clothing brand.

Despite the plan to spin up a D'Amelio brand empire, the family will still do brand sponsorship deals for third parties. The D'Amelio sisters have collaborated with a number of brands.

The idea with D'Amelio Brands was to give the family a future where they could make money outside of the content creation business.

He said that doing content creation for brands and endorsement deals is like getting into a hamster wheel. They aren't movie stars, they're not They aren't doing a movie and then taking a break. What's the next deal, what's the deal, what's the next deal? I'm trying to create businesses that will work and that the girls can start planting the seeds. I would love to have it where it can survive alone.

The D'Amelio family is busy with a number of projects, including the D'Amelio brands initiative. She just got a song in the current season of "Gossip Girl" and is working on her music. In a deal brokered by UTA, the family is starting a third season of their reality show on the streaming service.

They have had a lot of back and forth feelings about doing the series, but they believe that its ability to raise awareness about mental health issues is worth the effort.

We like doing it because we film the videos and put our phones down. Mental health is something my family and I discuss a lot. It has been great to be able to share that journey. Being able to talk to people about how doing TikTok hurts my mental health has made me feel better.
