The trade sales team at P&O Cruises is in need of four new hires.
Rob Scott, vice-president of sales, marketing and brand, revealed the line was hiring a trade training manager and three partnership development managers to secure new agents.
Scott stated on the Arvia vessel last week that the product sells well but that they need to support agents.
The president of P&O Cruises confirmed that they would be hiking prices.
The partnership development managers would be in charge of the north, south and central areas. They are supposed to get back out on the road.
Scott said that the training manager will continue to build on the breadth of training tools available online and face to face.
He said that they could support more agents and more new-to- brand agents.
Scott said that the trade sales team is now over 30. We are returning to pre-pandemic levels.
One partnership development manager has already been hired to test the water and we have seen great results. We will continue if we can prove the success.
You have to keep going when you have 40% capacity growth. We will push every distribution channel because there are opportunities for everyone here.
The line's major accounts were supported by business managers in the sales team.
He said that the partnership development managers that secure new accounts and agencies that normally wouldn't get air time or face-to-face time do quite strongly for them. Currently, we can't get to them.
