We saw some action with seeding on the line earlier in the day, but the Seattle Seahawks locked in the final playoff spot on Sunday night.

In the first wave of games, the New England, Miami, and Pittsburgh teams had a chance to get into the playoffs. The Dolphins were the first team to punch their ticket to the playoffs, even though they lost to the New England.

We will break down the six wild-card games and predict which teams will move on. Stay up to date with the playoffs by checking out the brackets below.

The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins will play each other three times in the next decade. They will break their tie in the playoffs.

If Tua Tagovailoa doesn't pass concussion protocol, the Bills will win this game. He didn't play in the last two games. In his place, the Dolphins will be able to call on rookies Teddy Bridgewater, who missed Sunday's game because of a finger injury, or seventh-round draft pick Skylar Thompson.

The Dolphins' quarterback situation isn't an ingredient for a recipe that will result in an upset against an opponent who will bring a little extra to the field.

Josh Allen said that the Bills played with their emotions still attached to Hamlin. Buffalo will play inspired football through the playoffs, and no one should underestimate that motivational factor, because Hamlin is able to communicate with teammates and use social media.

The Bills scored 35 points against the fifth-ranked scoring defense in the league to win the game. The game had a special teams player return two kick offs for touchdown. Allen threw three touchdown passes.

The Bills will bring a lot to the game if they avoid turnovers.

The Bills will beat the Dolphins 31-20.

The league doesn't need a coin flip to determine home-field advantage in the playoffs after the Cincinnati and Buffalo games were canceled.

Following last Monday's scary turn of events, the Bengals looked sharp. He's able to function without a breathing tube thanks to his condition improving.

Cincinnati has gone on a hot streak over the past two months, winning eight games in a row, including last week's no-contest with the Bills.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Ravens don't know if Jackson will play. If Tyler Huntley misses time with injuries, Baltimore would likely turn to Brown.

Jackson was hurt in the last five games of the season. The Ravens did not score more than 17 points in a game. If he's back under center, the signal-caller may not be at full strength.

The Ravens need Jackson healthy to compete with their division rival.

The prediction is for the Ravens to be defeated by theBengals.

While many of us will pay attention to the quarterback match up between Lawrence and Herbert in this wild-card contest, the Jacksonville Jaguars have found different ways to win games.

The last seven games have been won by the Jags. The defense held the team's last three opponents to an average of 7.3 points during that time.

Lawrence needs to play at a higher level in order to win. Over the last three weeks, he's thrown for one touchdown and one rushing score.

The 27th-ranked run defense of Los Angeles gives up the most yards per carry, so the Jags will probably rely on the ground against them. The return of Joey Bosa could make it difficult for the Jags to run on early downs.

Los Angeles should have some success against Jacksonville's pass defense. Herbert will probably have a more productive outing than Lawrence. According to Lindsey Thiry, Mike Williams is expected to be available for the game.

Herbert led his team to a road victory. The home loss to the Jags was avenged by the Bolts.

The prediction is for the Chargers to beat the Jags.

The Seattle Seahawks can thank the Detroit Lions for knocking the Green Bay Packers out of the playoff picture, which opened up the No. 7 spot in the NFC.

The San Francisco 49ers will host the Seahawks, whom they beat twice this season. These teams have trended in opposite directions over the past couple of months.

The 49ers have won at least 10 games in a row. Since Week 10, the Seahawks have lost five times, but they have won two of their last three.

Geno Smith has put together a season that is worth consideration for Comeback Player of the Year, but he has struggled against the 49ers this season, throwing for just one touchdown and an intercept in two games. He won't be able to turn the tide against the stingiest unit.

The 30th-ranked run defense won't stop the ninth-ranked ground attack of the San Francisco 49ers, despite the fact that Seattle deserves some respect.

Brock Purdy has thrown for at least two touchdown in six straight games. He will complement the run game of San Francisco.

    Prediction: 49ers 33, Seahawks 20

Going into the playoffs, the Minnesota Vikings look shaky despite their 13-4 record. They were the first team to have a negative point differential in the history of the league.

The Vikings don't win a lot of games. They hadn't won by more than eight points in a while.

The Vikings hit rock bottom when they aren't playing well. Minnesota has lost all four of its games by an average of 11 points.

Can we trust KirkCousins in a big game with questions about his offensive line? O'Neil and Schlottmann were placed on injured reserve. Bradbury hasn't played in a long time.

Dalvin Cook might not be effective against the New York Giants because of issues in the trenches. With the league's 31st-ranked scoring unit, the Vikings may have to rely on their defense.

The Giants trust Daniel Jones in a more conventional passing offense rather than relying on bootlegs.

In his last two starts, Jones has completed at least 70% of his passes. Over the last six weeks, the run defense has allowed an average of 138.7 yards per game.

Big Blue avenged its loss to the Vikings.

The Giants are predicted to beat the Vikings.

Over the last seven weeks, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback has turned the ball over 11 times. Dallas can't afford to give the other team more chances to score with Tom Brady under center.

Brady's passing yards and touchdown totals have gone down over the last two years in the area. He ranked second in the league in yards (4,610) with five game-winning drives, which is tied for second in the league.

In Week 17 of the season, Brady was able to find his top two wideouts, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Three touchdown passes were caught by the latter. He showed why you can't count him out in a high-stakes game.

The Buccaneers will face an opponent that can rack up points in a hurry. The Dallas offense was second in scoring. The Cowboys can run the ball against a run defense that ranked 15th in yards and 17th in yards per carry.

The Cowboys will rely on their ground attack to win the game.

The Cowboys will win the game 27-21.
