Damar Hamlin has always been about giving back (4:24)

Get to know Hamlin from his Pittsburgh roots to the NFL where millions have come to support him. There is a time and a place for it.

The team and fan base honored Hamlin in a variety of ways as he sent his love and watched from Cincinnati.

The Bills scored on the first play of the game when running back Nyheim Hines returned a kick 96 yards for a touchdown.

The Bills honored the people who saved Hamlin's life by naming their medical personnel and training staff after them.

The players ran onto the field with flags that said "3" and "Pray for Damar" There was a circle at the center.

Hamlin posted a video of himself being announced on the field prior to the game. I don't want anything more than to run out that tunnel with my brothers. God is using me in a different way today Today is a good day to tell someone you love them. It's time to go.

The Bills wore "3" patches on their jerseys in honor of Hamlin, who suffered cardiac arrest on the field in Cincinnati during Monday's game.

The general manager wore a Hamlin jersey. The Bills players had the option of wearing the same version of "Love for Damar3" shirts that the entire league is wearing before games, but in blue, while many wore custom black T-shirts with a picture of Hamlin on the front.

The personnel wore beanies and ball caps with their numbers on them. The No. 3 was all over the stadium. Messages to Hamlin and people sharing their love for safety were written on the signs.

Some fans were able to get Hamlin jerseys to wear to the game, but others were able to make their own Hamlin gear with messages and heart pins.

Bills fans Jeffrey Payne and Ryan Magnuson had a 10-foot sign outside the stadium that was made for fans to sign and send their best to Hamlin. Even though they wanted the Bills to win the game, they wanted to honor Hamlin.

There were more than one sign of Hamlin. In the event of an emergency, the ambulance that sits in the stadium has Hamlin jerseys in its windows. There was a blue line on the 30 yard line.

The chant "Ay-Ay-Ay-Ay" was led by former Bills running back LeSean McCoy. Hamlin is a formerPitt football player.
