Adam Rich was remembered as "America's little brother” on the dramedy Eight Is Enough. He was older than 50. The cause of death was not revealed by the family. There is no suspicion of foul play.

Adam Rich made his television debut as a guest star in The Six Million Dollar Man before landing the lead role in ABC's Eight Is Enough in 1977. An Eight Is Enough Wedding and Eight Is Enough: A Family Reunion were two TV movies that were created in response to the success of The Waltons on CBS.

Adam Rich appeared in the 1981 movie The Devil and Max Devlin while he was on the show Eight Is Enough. After Eight Is Enough, he was cast in ABC's Code Red, which was a one-season show.

Rich was a voice actor in the animated D&D's from 1983 to 1985 and made occasional guest appearances on TV.

Rich was back on camera in 2003 as himself in David Spade's comedy "Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star" and in the same year he played Crocodile Dundee in a TV series.

Rich was phased out of his child star status due to personal issues. He was arrested in 1991 for breaking a pharmacy window and was released by his father. He was arrested for driving under the influence in 2002 and was in drug rehabilitation a number of times.

The second of the Bradford siblings, Adam Rich, passed away. At the age of 46, the sister of My Three Sons star Don Grady passed away. Dick Van Patten was 86 years old at the time of his death. The actress who played Joan in the first season of Eight Is Enough died at the age of 41.
