The Tech Pioneer Behind Sound Blaster Has Passed Away

Creative became the first Singapore company to be listed on a US exchange after Sim established his business in the US. The integration of sound boards into the board ended Sound blaster's popularity, but the cards provided audio for more than 400 million PCs.

Sim tried to take on Apple by spending $100 million on advertising and marketing in its bid to dethrone the iPod under his leadership. Apple was sued by Creative for violating its patent. After Apple settled with Creative, there were more lawsuits against each other.
