Plaza opened up about what it was like to waitress and work odd jobs in Queens in order to land her first acting roles. She said she ate scoops of peanut butter for lunch and was often fired because she couldn't afford it. It doesn't feel good, it sucks.
She decided she wouldn't have loyalty to any of the places she worked because acting came first, and if a manager didn't respect that, she would just quit.
The actress was well known for her humility. When I was 20, my mom gave birth to me. My father was raised in a bad neighborhood in Philadelphia. My mother was poor in Delaware.
Plaza was able to change her situation from her parents.
She said that he was a wealth management person.
Plaza seemed to have learned the most about her relationship to money from her parents' example of hard work. It was insane how hard they worked.
She says that her dad was a Puerto-Rican and was able to do this as a white man. He's great at it.
Plaza said that her relationship to money was unaffected by her acting success. I don't pay much attention to money. I don't want to be in that situation again, I need to be responsible and I don't want to be in that position again like when I was in Astoria.
She said that her father did not teach her anything about money.
Plaza said back then that she would be fine with all her money being gone. I sometimes fantasize about getting back to where I came from.
