The former vice president for the Indian subsidiary of Wells Fargo was arrested on Saturday and charged with sexual harassment, obscenity, and "insulting the modesty of a woman."
The charges are related to a November 26 incident in which Mishra drunkenly urinated on a fellow passenger, a 72 year old woman, during an Air India flight from New York to New Delhi. He had filed a petition for bail but was expected to be in judicial custody for 14 days.
The policy of serving alcoholic beverages is being reconsidered by Air India. The representatives for the airline didn't reply immediately.
On Friday, Wells Fargo confirmed that he had been terminated. The statement was released by the international banking giant.
