Schefter: Sean McVay's Future as Rams Head Coach 'in Limbo' amid Broadcasting Rumors

Sean McVay is the head coach of the LA Rams.

After leading the Rams to a victory in Super Bowl 56, Sean McVay's immediate future with the team is in question.

After the Rams won the Super Bowl, there were rumors that McVay would leave the team to work in broadcasting.

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, Amazon was willing to give McVay a five-year deal worth $100 million to be the color commentator for Thursday Night Football.

According to Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports, some of the NFL's television partners are interested in hiring McVay as a studio analyst for the 2023 season.

Four days after the Super Bowl, McVay's then-fiancee posted on social media that he wasn't quitting.

According to Albert Breer on The Rich Eisen Show, there is an acknowledgment within the Rams organization that McVay's future is tied to the core group of Matthew Stafford, Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp and Jalen Ramsey.

The Rams were ruined by injuries during the 2022. The two players have only played nine games. Donald injured his ankle in the 11th game of the season.

As Stafford recovered from his injury, there were questions about his future. He told his wife on her show last month that he wasn't retiring.

Four different quarterbacks have started for the Rams this year. Their 11 losses are the most by a defending Super Bowl champion.

It might be difficult for Los Angeles to get back to normal quickly. Due to the Stafford trade, the team doesn't have a first-round pick.

McVay has been the head coach of the Rams for six years. He made it to the Super Bowl twice and has a 60-37 record.
