As the New York Giants prepare for the playoffs next weekend, Davis will likely make his first career NFL start.

According to Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post, Tyrod Taylor is expected to be the starting quarterback for the Giants on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The practice squad player has been added to the 53-man roster. He was promoted to the main roster for the Week 5 game against the Packers after spending most of the season on the practice squad.

According to Dunleavy, the Giants are going to rest some of their key players this week. Dexter Lawrence and Andrew Thomas could be pulled from the game before it starts.

The second quarterback on the depth chart is Taylor. He played eight snaps in last week's 38-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, his third game of the year.

The Giants want to make sure their top two quarterbacks are healthy for the playoffs. He will get to start for the first time in his career.

He returned to the Giants on a reserve/futures contract in February, after spending time with the Jets and Bills.

He was with the Bills last year. He played in a win over the Jets.

Regardless of what happens on Sunday, the Giants are in the playoffs.

If the Philadelphia Eagles win against the Giants and the San Francisco 49ers lose to the ArizonaCardinals, Philadelphia will be the top seed and a first-round bye.
