It didn't work for me when I tried to log into the service.

The rest of the URL was suggested by my browser when I started typing "tweetdeck" into my URL bar. After I hit the Enter key, my browser took a few seconds to try to load TweetDeck and then showed me an error message on a blank page.

I panicked after running into the same error in two different profiles. I haven't been as active on social media since Musk took over, but I still rely on my many TweetDeck columns and alert as important newsgathering tools for my job.

I was worried that my beloved tool had become the latest thing to go away under Musk because of the massive layoffs that left whole teams gutted. If a planned auction actually happens, company kitchen equipment will be included.

A colleague told me that it was working for them, and I was relieved.

The error I was seeing was caused by the fact that I was navigating to the wrong site. The issue with the shorter URL seems to be related to the issue with the longer URL.

The issue was observed by many people. Many people thanked Bob Bardsley in the replies after he posted the same solution.

I am not sure if the issue has been addressed in an official capacity by the social network. As of this writing, it hasn't been mentioned on its account or on the support account. The company hasn't responded to a request for comment, but it has dissolved its press office.

There have been a few bouts of glitchiness, but the service has worked as usual despite the layoffs. Outside of the weird redirecting issue, TweetDeck has worked well for me. In the meantime, I will be entering the full URL into my browser to access my sweet, sweet columns, and I hope that someone will be able to fix what is happening.
