Stadia will be shutting down on January 18th. Patrick Seybold, a spokesman for the company, said that January 18th was the day. Many publishers have shared ways to bring your purchases and progress to other platforms so you can keep playing your games while the shutdown is in effect.

CD Projekt Red will allow you to manually download your data to your computer. There is a guide on the studio's website. After Stadia shuts down, you won't be able to retrieve your saved money. IO Interactive is allowing players to carry over their progress from Stadia to PC. Before Stadia shuts down, you need to link your IOI account to your Stadia account. The carryover tool is expected to be open on January 11th, but you can link your accounts now to prepare. If you played The Elder Scrolls Online on Stadia, you can log into your account and play the game on PC and Mac, right where you left off. All software purchases from the Stadia Store and hardware purchases from the Google Store will be returned. The majority of refunds are expected to be processed by January 18th so keep an eye on your email for confirmation.
