Lynsey Sharp
Lynsey Sharp raced for the first time since September 2019 on Friday

Sharp raced for the first time in three years as she came back from injury and the birth of her child.

He competed at the World Championships in the year 2019.

Sharp won the 600m at the Glasgow athletics meet on Friday.

She said that she was nervous even though she had been training for weeks.

Since that night at the Commonwealths, I have not finished a race in Glasgow.

First there was Covid, and then there was a baby.

Sharp and Andrew Butchart had a baby boy in 2021.

She had surgery to remove cancer cells in the year before she had a baby.

Sharp had a stress fracture and was close to being done with it. The Commonwealth Games qualification standard was on for me at that time.

It's difficult and there have been times when I wondered if I really wanted to do this all over again.

It takes a lot of team work to make things happen the way you want them to.
