The Big East game that was to be played on Sunday at Gampel Pavilion in Connecticut has been postponed due to the lack of healthy players on the team.

The school said that the injuries have left them with just six active players.

The head coach of the University of Connecticut is taking some time off to recover from an illness.

There were injuries to Aaliyah and Ayanna in the game. Freshman Ice Brady is also on the inactive list.

In the first half of the game,Edwards injured his foot or ankle diving for a loose ball and was forced to leave the game. It was not known when or how he was injured.

The school would not be releasing any more information.

David Benedict, the school's athletic director, said in a statement that the health and wellbeing of the student-athletes would always be their top priority. There has been an unprecedented number of injuries to our women's basketball team. It's unfortunate that we need to delay the game, but it's the right thing to do. We will work with the Big East and the other teams to find a new location for the game.

They are out for the season with injuries.

Fudd is expected to return soon from a knee injury that has kept her on the bench. During the last three games, she has taken part in the warm ups.

Ducharme has missed two games due to an injury.

Ines Bettencourt, Nika Muhl, Lou Lopez Senechal, Dorka Juhasz, and Amari DeBerry are all available to play.

Auriemma has missed four games this season due to illness, and it's not clear when he'll be back.

"It's been an extremely difficult month for me, and I've been feeling unwell and run down," Auriemma said. I need a bit more time to get back to normal. I will be taking a step back to focus on my health.

The team has won six in a row despite the injuries.

Those with tickets will be able to use them when the game is not played.

The University of Connecticut is scheduled to play at St. John's on Wednesday night.
