The owners of the National Football League approved a resolution to modify the playoffs in the American Football Conference.

The proposal got 25 yes votes and 24 needed. The proposal was defeated by three or four owners.

The Bills-Bengals game was canceled and won't be made up.

If the Ravens win in Week 18 and the Broncos lose in Week 17, the league wants to use a coin flip to determine home-field advantage for the wild-card game between the Ravens and Broncos.
