Yorkshire: Lord Patel to step down as chair in March

The club's next annual general meeting in March will be Lord Patel's last.

The club's response to the Azeem Rafiqracism scandal led to the resignation of Roger Hutton.

It has been an honor and a pleasure to work for such a prestigious organisation.

In the wake of Rafiq's allegations and widespread criticism of the club's handling of the case, Yorkshire has undergone extensive changes.

The establishment of an independent whistleblowing hotline for victims of discrimination and structural reforms at the club have meant that the club can now host internationals again.

The director of cricket, head coach, and all members of the coaching staff left Yorkshire under the new regime.

Ottis Gibson, a former West Indies all-rounder, took over as head coach in January 2022.

He thanked those members who had been supportive of the changes that the board had introduced.

The staff and board members have all worked hard during what has been a transformational period.
