Hamlin was in the intensive care unit at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for a few days after suffering a cardiac arrest during the game. The team said he was awake and responsive and could move his hands and feet. He was able to communicate in writing.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network said that he spoke to his teammates on the phone before sending a message to the group.
Hamlin collapsed after a tackle and had to be resuscitated before being taken to the hospital.
The quick action by team personnel saved his life.

The Monday Night Football game between the Bills and Cincinnati was temporarily suspended while both sides focused on Hamlin's health, but the game was not resumed.
The Bills are scheduled to return to the field on Sunday for their final game of the season. Josh Allen said that he will be able to focus on the game.
