The meme flick is a movie genre that I find moderately amusing, but cannot in good conscience respect. There are snakes on a plane. The movie features a cat. The Cocaine Bear will be released in the near future. People will watch these movies so they can post about them on the internet. M3GAN is like a novelty T-shirt bought off the internet, but it is better.

The plot of M3GAN is a mix of stories about dolls and artificial intelligence. It can be described as either a movie or a play. A brilliant, neurotic roboticist named Gemma finds herself the guardian of her niece, a somewhat spooky Cady. Ill equipped to nurture a grieving child and desperate to sell her boss on a sophisticated, outrageously expensive toy she had been working on, I hastily programs the toy to be a protective companion for Cady. Instructions not to murder and parental controls are some of the lines of code she forgets. Threats to Cady are eliminated by M3GAN when she sees them. M3GAN sees her creator as a threat when she learns of the homicidal nature of her creation. You can probably guess at least 80% of what happens in the end.

M3GAN is special. The expression on the face of the person. It's joyful. M3GAN is not a scary film. M3GAN dances, she sings, and she plays the piano. She looked like a character from the Shining twins and the vampire novels. Since Gremlins 2, she has been the most charismatic horror-comedy villain. Like Gremlins 2, M3GAN is winking and self-awareness without being grating. The people were cracking up at my screening of the movie. It was a great movie experience.

M3GAN is the first movie I've seen this year. A few weeks ago, I was able to see the movie in three dimensions. The sequel to the highest-grossing film of all time, directed by a modern master, will make it hard for a modestly budgeted genre film with a competent but nonfamous director to compete. It should.

The way of water looks great. It's special effects are legit. The plotline is more insipid than the original one. In a time when a film that isn't part of a superhero franchise gets graded on a curve for attempting to be something other than a soulless money-grab, the critical response toAvatar: The Way of Water has been warmer than it would have been. The Way of Water isn't art at all. This is a great spectacle. It is fun to watch a movie in a crowded theater and then not think about it again. It is a thorough retread of the first Avatar, which in the years after its release developed a surprisingly durable reputation for its lack of reputation.

M3GAN is one of the best spectacle. The two movies are both fun to watch on a big screen, and both have the same silly storyline. The appeal of M3GAN is based on its frothy sense of humor. It also has a better run time. M3GAN can play on the most dilapidated screen and retain its silly appeal if you don't have the right glasses. The quality will give M3GAN a longer shelf life, but it will not diminish the appeal of seeing it in a group setting. A shared experience is what the ultimate meme flick is supposed to be.
