It will be easier for users to switch between different audio devices when listening to music with the new features that will be introduced in the next version of the operating system. Media notifications will ask users if they want to switch over to a different listening device based on their proximity, which will allow you to transition between your phone, speakers, headphones, TV, car, and more.

The cross-device software development kit was released by the company. The tech uses ultra-wideband, low energy, and wi-fi to detect which audio devices are closest to the user, and then identifies which device a user may want to use based on their current activity.

It's similar to how Apple products can automatically switch between audio inputs. The notifications feature is being worked on by both Spotify and YouTube Music, according to a post on the director of product management's website. It is easier to use multiple devices with the addition of Fast Pair and Nearby Share.

There is a media switcher that works with the Android 13 version. Users will be able to switch between playing music on their phones, tablets, TVs, and other devices with the help of this. The two new listening features are expected to arrive this year.
