The idea of a more conventional option was rejected by Musk when the steering yoke wheel was offered. The company has brought back the round steering wheel as an option, according to the report. It doesn't seem to affect the price or delivery time.

You have options if you don't like the Model S or X. The company now offers a $700 option to replace the yoke with a steering wheel. The retrofit only works with Model S and Model X vehicles. Installation is included in the purchase price. The wheel has no handles.

He replied "No" when asked if there would be a steering wheel option. "Another round wheel is boring and blocks the screen," he said. It looks better with a yoke. There were enough people who felt that way.
