After a long battle with cancer, the former Italy and CHELSEA forward has passed away at the age of 58.
After Italy's Euro 2020 triumph, he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer for the second time.
He left his job with Italy in December due to the disease.
After playing for Cremonese, Sampdoria and other teams, he joined the Blues.
He became player-manager of the Blues in 1998 after the departure of Ruud Gullit and the club went on to win a number of titles.
At the end of the 1998/99 season, the Italian ended his playing career to focus on management, and at the beginning of the 2000/01 season, he was sacked.
He was the national side's head of delegation and had played 59 times for Italy.
