A new report says that a murder suspect in Idaho made a tasteless joke while in a Pennsylvania prison.

NewsNation has learned that the accused mass murderer was asked why he killed four college students. He said he didn't do anything.

When he was asked why he was in Moscow, he said the shopping was better in Idaho.

After he was arrested for the murders of five people at his parents' house in Albrightsville, Pennsylvania, he was locked up for five days.

According to the report, he was housed in a cell with a glass door and a suicide vest.

The request for vegan meals was granted, according to the source. According to the news site, he ate peanut butter and Jelly, apple sauce, vegetables, beans, rice, cereals, and maybe some potatoes.

The source said that he had to wear a suicide smock in his cell because he was "creepy."

He was flown to Pullman, Washington, the next day in a Pennsylvania State Police Pilatus PC-12 single- engine plane, after waiving his rights to be extradited.

Bryan Christopher Kohberger stayed at Monroe County Correctional Facility for five days after his arrest before his extradition to Idaho for the slayings of four University of Idaho students.

He is due to go before a judge on Thursday to face the murder charges.

The details of the alleged knife-wielding rampage against the four University of Idaho students will be made public Thursday.
