Clowney said that they were all trying to get someone into the Hall of Fame. Everyone has a reason to be here, and we can all make plays. I'm aware that I am.
It's time for me to get my exit slip, I don't feel appreciated by the team, they have their own guys, and I ain't one of them, so it's time for me to leave."
Clowney missed four games this season because of an ankle injury and a concussion after re-signing with Cleveland. In his 12 appearances after taking down opposing quarterbacks nine times in 14 games in 2021, he has just two sacks and 28 total tackles.
