If it can ever get the Cybertruck out of the door, it's a good thing for the company. You may have seen a Rivian or F-150 on the road. The Chevrolet Silverado EV will be on sale later this year. If you live by the creed "Mopar or no car," you may have wondered what Ram had ready to deploy in this upcoming electric truck arms race.

We find out at the Consumer Electronics Show. The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept is a fully electric version of the Ram 1500 that will go into production in 2024. The production version will be revealed in the near future.

The design of the Ram Rev previews an entire generation of electric and electrified Ram trucks in the future.

While Ram has ceded a lot of attention to competitors who have made waves with EV pickup debuts, the chief design officer for several of the Stellantis brands pushed back on the idea that Ram is late to anything.

The team used Post-it notes on a wall during brain-storming sessions in order to build a concept. It was also to show off a truck that Ram is calling the leader in all the areas customers care about the most. Ram isn't giving out hard numbers, but with pickup trucks set to be the next great frontier for EV's, it will need impressive figures to be a top competitor It will be delivered, according to Gilles.

There is a difference between bringing a really good bottle of wine to a party and just crashing it late. We are looking at how well we are doing compared to competitors.

Ram is not the only one following competitors in the EV race. The same could be said of its parent company, which for a long time ran a number of electric and hybrid vehicles.

It is beginning to change rapidly. The aggressive EV plan was shown by Stellantis. The Charger Daytona and two electric Jeeps were introduced last year. Chrysler's Synthesis cockpit concept, which is said to preview our automated, screen-filled future as that American brand goes all-EV by 2028, was shown off at the Consumer Electronics Show. It looks like the company is getting serious about the issue of electrification.

There is a truck from the future.

Ram fans who are considering giving up gasoline have a concept that is striking to look at.

The concept is a little bolder and more experimental in design than direct competitors from Ford and GM. It has a full-glass roof with panels that change color.

The Ram Revolution is like a truck companion to the Dodge Daytona EV concept. The Ram concept is heavy on gadgets and special features, like the electric muscle car, but Dodge decided it isn't the same if the car doesn't wake up the entire neighborhood.

Many of them help in towing, parking, or just impressing passengers in this area. The concept has a pass through midgate. It is a feature that many truck owners love but is not a common one. The Ram Rev has hooks for groceries, power outlets and storage accessories, as well as accommodating large items for storage and hauling.

There are third-row jump seats that can be found outside of the vehicle, but they are not as in-the-bed as a BRAT. Since 1978, there have been a lot of changes in safety rules.

Shadow Mode allows the driver to walk ahead of the truck. Ram said that the voice-activated feature can be useful in situations where the driver doesn't want to get back in the truck. The truck will follow the driver at a safe distance.

Most functions are on a touch screen inside. The EV has a packaging advantage that allows it to be four inches longer than a conventional Ram 1500.

The Revolution features an artificial intelligence-powered voice assistant with a Ram-shaped 3Davatar that functions as the truck, in another sign that the auto industry is serious about virtual assistants and metaverse-style features.

There is a retractable steering wheel when Level 3-plus self-drive is engaged, an exterior projector that plays movies outside the truck, and an "intelligent storage app" that uses augmented reality.

The Revolution is a body-on-frame truck that integrates the battery pack and sends electric power to all four wheels. Four-wheel steering makes it easier to park and tow.

When it goes into production, the truck will need to bring a lot of range, something American drivers are obsessed with, especially in non-urban areas where trucks dominate.

The competition is getting hotter. The Large battery pack is able to put down 300 miles, and the Max battery is able to put down 400 miles. GM's Silverado EV claims up to 400 miles of range, while the F-150 Lightning offers up to320 miles of range. Ram's final production truck could swing for the fences if more and more electric vehicles target 500 miles of range. The Rev concept can add up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes, according to the manufacturer.

The demand for EV trucks is still young. Ram was given the chance to observe competitors and talk to its customers about what they wanted out of an all-electric truck from the makers of the 702-hp TRX. This truck will be superior to that in a lot of ways.

He said it would make a TRX to shame in acceleration.

Many of the features of the kitchen sink could be incomprehensible for production work. Ram will be looking for feedback on what could make the cut once others see the light of day.

He said that the letter was an open letter to the fans. A lot of things we choose to keep will be informed by the feedback we receive.
