In his first comments since Hamlin went into cardiac arrest and collapsed, he said Thursday that Hamlin's mother has been in touch and offered prayers in the aftermath of his collision with Hamlin.

"It was just telling me she's thinking of me and praying for me and things like that, telling me he's ok, all the good, positive stuff," said Higgins, who added that knowing Hamlin is improving is making him feel good inside.

While Hamlin was at Pitt, he played against the Bills safety. The two spent time together at a football camp in the Pittsburgh area, where they are from, as well as at another camp.

The game was eventually postponed because of the final play. He thought Hamlin flopped after tackling him. He could see the severity of the situation when he looked again.

"I turned my head and didn't think about it because I knew it was crazy and sad," he said. It was difficult.

The University of Cincinnati Medical Center held a news conference to give updates on Hamlin's condition after Cincinnati's players received information about his condition. Hamlin is awake and able to communicate with others.

When he got the news about Hamlin's condition in the morning, he said it was a big relief to him.

Hamlin was taken off the field in an ambulance after he was involved in the last play of the game. Those who have been critical of the role that Higgins has played in the situation have been disrespectful, according to the receiver.

"It's a human being as well," he said. It could've ended in disaster. It was possible that it was Tee. Football is at the end of the day.

Josh Allen, who spoke to reporters for the first time since the terrifying scene unfolded, stayed seated after the news conference to show his support for his teammate.

I would like to say that I have not reached out to Tee. I hope he got some good news today. I read some things on social media. People shouldn't be attacking him. The family of Damar came out and said that. Hopefully he was able to find some relief. That's a football play, right? There's nothing else that he could have done in that situation, so I hope he doesn't hold that on himself.

The rest of the team practiced for the first time since Monday. The team had yet to hear if the game will continue.

The process of getting ready for an opponent was a positive one for many inside the locker room. He was playing a game on a table tennis surface in the locker room while music was playing over the speakers, a sign that the Bengal's were trying to operate as normal.

He said he is focused on preparing for Sunday's game against the Ravens as the Bengal look to position themselves for the playoffs. He didn't think about skipping the game.
