Even if they get burned in the process, venture capitalist are still in the business of predicting the next big thing. Despite multiple failures this year, many remain bullish about the future of the technology.
As is the case with any new tech, hype is sure to accompany growing adoption, and generative artificial intelligence has received a lot of attention and money.
More than 35 investors were surveyed by TechCrunch about their feelings about next year. One of our questions asked where the next bubble would be, and almost half of the people surveyed mentioned generative artificial intelligence.
Several investors said they were bullish on the new tech as a whole but admitted that the sector was likely to get lost in its own hype.
The bubble is here according to the managing director of the company. The applicability of artificial intelligence to many use cases will lead to a large number of startups being funded in the space, and so we think that the next big bubble is already expanding in this area.
This isn't surprising, given how the sector has burgeoned recently as consumer tools.
