The story of Blood Origin.

I don't understand why the streaming service decided to make a series about a monster. The mini-series adds nothing to the main show and doesn't bother with the source material. Big changes to The Witcher lore are made for no apparent reason.

The elves are portrayed in a bad light. Let's just see the first episode. The show is 1200 years before the events of The Witcher. This was a time of Elves and Dwarves, but nobody seemed to care about Gnomes.

Does it seem like a long time ago? The elves live in a society that is elvish. We don't know if we get a sense of previous glory. Is there a better way to understand what immortality was like before the world changed?

That's not right! Humans with long ears are the only elves here. It's all done. The entire depiction of the elder race that came before humankind is contained in that piece. They drink in taverns. They have facial hair. There is no elvishness about them. In the first episode, a big elf mercenary guy tells a young elf barmaid that she needs to get rough with him before the Strong Female Woman intervenes.

The Modern Audience knows that the elven bard is a Total Badass and claps when they see it.

It's just so boring and pointless. There is a series with strong female characters on the streaming service. There are sorceesses with powerful magic. Ciri became a powerful magic user and swordfighter after training with the witchers. The Badass Female Warrior Beats Up Guys In Bar trope was thrown at us in the opening scene of Blood Origin. That is how original it is.

The elves might have felt different from the humans of the Northern Kingdoms. They would be driven from their homes. Maybe these elves did not have taverns like humans. Maybe there weren't large, bearded elves preying on young elf wenches. Maybe we don't need a wide array of Irish and Scottish accents.

There are a lot of other issues with the show. There is a lack of imagination and creativity. Wouldn't it be better to make a show about elves instead of just making them like humans? I disliked the show's version of Galadriel.

Who needs a good script when you have a constant parade of F-bombs and a diversity check? That's how bold. It's modern.
